I have been avoiding this post for weeks. The site keeps evolving and I am still not sure what form it will take. I wanted this to be a professional blog and portfolio site for my work as a historian but the aspirations that created that desire have changed. Yes, I am still a historian, and yes, I am still working on analytical bibliography and bench practices. However, I don’t know where these practices are leading me.
My current research is on the medieval period, specifically the Anglo-Saxons. I am studying their history, lore, and languages. The addition of manuscript studies only adds to my interest in the period. Will this research be engaging enough to consider myself a medievalist or narrow enough for a dissertation? I don’t know, but I am going down this rabbit hole. I have no idea where this will go, but I am following my instincts and trusting that it will lead somewhere.
